Principles of personal data processing for the Hitchat application

Who are we? We are RTM Labs s.r.o., located at Nedvědovo náměstí 1164/14, 147 00 Prague, ID No: 19824343, registered in the Commercial Register at the Municipal Court in Prague under file no. C 392202 (“we”), and we operate an application called "Hitchat" (“Application”). The application allows you to chat with avatars of famous personalities.

Principles of personal data processing.Protecting your privacy is of utmost importance to us, and we safeguard your personal data as if it were our own. Therefore, we have prepared these personal data processing principles (“Principles”). Please read them carefully.

These Principles are in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and they contain information on what personal data we process, why and how we work with them, and how long we will keep them. These personal data processing principles inform you how we process your personal data if you have downloaded our Application and want to use it for chatting with avatars and education.

Do we really need your personal data? We always try to process your personal data to the smallest extent possible. However, processing them is essential for using the Application effectively. It is not possible to use the Application without entering your personal data. We assure you that we will not process your personal data using automated individual processing that would have legal effects for you or significantly affect you in a similar way. This means that while your data will be processed automatically and with the use of AI, such processing will not form the basis for any decisions with significant legal impacts on you.

How do we encrypt your data? All incoming and outgoing data during communication with the Application is transmitted in an encrypted and anonymized form. Thanks to encryption, third parties cannot read the transmitted data.

How do we process your personal data if you download our Application?

If you have downloaded our Application, we process the following personal data:

1. Registration data

You provide registration data during registration into the Application, specifically your email address and password. These serve to identify you and enable communication with you if necessary.

2. Login using third-party accounts

We allow you to log in to the Application using your existing accounts with third parties (Facebook, Google, or Apple). If you use your Google account to log in, we collect and store your user data entered into your Google account, such as your email address, name, and profile photo. The data transfer to the Application can be set and adjusted in your Google account privacy settings. If you use your Apple account, you can share your email address with us or hide it. If you click "Hide my email," a general alias email address will be generated for Application registration. Further information on setting these preferences is available here.

If you use your Facebook account to log in, we collect and store your user data from the Facebook account, such as your email address, name, and profile photo. With your consent, we can access additional data, such as your friends' list. Further information on data processing using a Facebook account for registration is available here.

3. Data you enter into the Application

When setting up your user account in the Application, you may provide personal data and information to use the Application fully. This includes your name and email.

4. Information you write to avatars

This information can be changed during the use of the Application.

5. Data we automatically record

After registering and during the use of the Application, we automatically store certain data, such as the installation date of the Application, registration date, operating system of the device (Android/iOS), your country and language, IP address, and the version of the Application you are using.

6. Information regarding paid features

If you decide to use premium features of the Application, we also process your personal data related to the premium features, such as your name, address, the fact that you have become a user of premium features, the amount paid, the subscription period, information on invoices, bank details, and payment information.

7. Information from our communication

If you contact us or if we contact you, we store the information from this communication, specifically the information provided in the communication and contact details based on the communication channel used.

To whom do we transfer your personal data?

We may transfer your data to other entities mainly to ensure our effective operation. Our service providers become processors of your personal data. They are authorized to process your personal data only to the extent we agree with them.

Specifically, we transfer your personal data to the following entities:

  • Google Ireland Ltd, which operates your Google account through which you can also register for the Application. Information on how Google processes your personal data can be found here.
  • Meta Platforms Inc., which operates the social network Facebook and through which you can also register for the Application. Information on how Meta Platforms processes your personal data can be found zde.

We may also transfer your personal data to public authorities if it is in our interest or if they request it.

Within the Application, we may request your consent to connect with other applications (e.g., Apple Health and Fitness apps or similar apps provided by Google or mobile phone manufacturers) for better functionality and more accurate recommendations.

What rights do you have in connection with the processing of personal data?

You have the right to object if we process your personal data based on our legitimate interest. This objection can be raised by sending it to our contact address or email. We will evaluate it within one month of receipt.

In connection with personal data processing, you also have the following rights:

  • The right to obtain confirmation whether we process your personal data and access to this data.
  • The right to request the correction of incorrect data or completion of incomplete data. Under certain conditions, the right to request the deletion of your personal data or restriction of their processing.
  • Under certain conditions, the right to transfer your personal data to another controller.
